Day 8 (Saturday, 7/26/2003)

The Alpine Slide is a concrete-lined toboggan run that descends 2500 feet from the top of Snow King Mountain down to the town of Jackson. $7 gets you a specially-outfitted sled with wheels and a huge friction brake and a free ride up the chairlift to the top and one of the best scenic views in the entire Jackson area.

Be sure to check out the video clip at the bottom of the page. This was excerpted from Brian's 2-minute full-resolution video of the descent (the original is a 32 MB file-- see one of us for a CD!)
