Distance:  14.8 Miles
Elevation Change:  8745'-10,980' (2785' ascent, 550' descent)
Weather:  After descending into Deep Creek prior to our big ascent up LD Mountain, a brief but torrential rainstorm came down from the San Miguel Range to the south and drenched us for about 30 minutes.  Another more violent storm blew in from the same direction after we arrived at LD Hut.
