Damaraland Zebra (Equus quagga antiquorum.) Indigenous to Africa, the Damaraland zebra can weigh 600 lbs when fully mature and can live as long as 25 years in captivity. Zebras bear one foal at a time with a gestation period of 1 year, and they are known for their aggressive behavior. One of this zebra's friends nosed into the passenger-side window of the car and grabbed the feed sack right out of the passenger's lap!
