Day 3 (Sunday, 11/7/2004)

The canoe trip had been called off due to lack of interest, and my legs weren't up for following Rick and Kim up to the South Rim.  So I joined Ken, Kim, Cindy, Chip, Cynthia, and others on a driving tour of the park.  Our tour took us around the west side of the park to Santa Elena Canyon, Cattail Falls, and the backside of the Window.  I had seen all of these attractions previously in 2002 and 2003-- and much of the Cattail Falls trail only a day earlier-- but I wanted to take some better photographs of the canyon and the falls with my new camera.  Plus, it gave me an opportunity to catch up with the group and hear all of the new and creative uses for the word "tinaja."  During our tour, we also stopped off at Tuff Canyon, which is a few miles up the road from Castolon-- and which I had never seen previously.

That night, the propane accessories were put to the test, and a good time was had by all.
